Beginners are always welcome in our classes and everyone receives individualized instruction. Classes are kept small and limited to 6 students; therefore, enrolling early is suggested. Children are taught from ages 5 and up. Classes range in age and are just as often 9-11 year olds as they are 5-8 year olds (or a combination of age ranges). Teen classes are also offered. Private instruction, for both children and adults, is available.

Attend a class at a time and pay as you go or enroll in a session of 8 classes. Classes run for 8 sessions over 8 or 9 weeks. We may skip one week between the 7th and 8th session to allow time for all the work to be dried and bisque fired in the kiln. The 8th class students glaze their work. Finished pieces are then picked up at a later date after they have been glaze fired in the kiln.

Investment for classes is $260 per person and there is a variable charge of $5 and up per finished piece (price ranges on size of ware). For example, one student with 5 finished pieces of average size would pay $260 for instruction and materials and may pay an additional $25 upon picking up their 5 finished pieces. This additional charge covers the cost of glazes and 2 kiln firings.

Classes are intended for all levels and are geared towards each person’s desire of what they would like to explore. Techniques in throwing and handbuilding/sculpting will be covered to the level of the student's ability and the level of challenge desired.
